Where’s Rudy? MSM Openly Speculates That Giuliani Hiding From FBI Investigation

When former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, affectionately known as Rudy, joined President Donald Trump’s personal defense team, he rode onto the scene in a blaze of glory and appeared on any news outlet that would have him.

During that time, Rudy threw some bombs into the swamp and said some things that the easily flustered thought was in bad form, but Rudy was back, and we all knew it.

In the last two weeks, he’s gone deep. The man has disappeared from the public eye.

Well, no one really knows, but there are open speculations that he is under investigation by the FBI.

However, something must have changed recently, as Giuliani has practically gone silent over the last couple weeks. At first, it was unclear why, but considering recent developments out of the DOJ, we are now beginning to understand.

Around that same timeframe is when Michael Horowitz, the Inspector General for the Department of Justice, released a long-awaited report on the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails. While the report primarily focused on former FBI Director James Comey and revealed he led a witch hunt against Clinton, it also called out other FBI agents for having various inappropriate political stances.

The report, however, does not focus on the investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, because it is still ongoing. Similarly, the report also makes no mention of Rudy Giuliani’s admission ahead of the election that FBI sources had tipped him off about a bombshell that was about to surface. In fact, when the DOJ Inspector General was asked why this incident was left out, he said it was still part of an ongoing investigation.

Well, the main problem with that line of thinking is that Rudy himself said the bombshell had nothing to do with Russia. Remember, he talked about a bombshell coming out in October of 2016, right around the time former FBI Director James Comey reopened the Hillary Clinton email server investigation.

Asked about his involvement by Fox News’s Megyn Kelly, Giuliani said, “This is the ‘vast right-wing conspiracy’ garbage all over again. … I spoke to no current FBI agents, ever, in the last 10 months. I’ve had no communication with them. I haven’t destroyed any of my emails. … The information I got from former FBI agents … was the FBI, from the time of the Comey investigation until the day Jim came forward with what he said were in revolt about an investigation they believe was being sabotaged.”

And Giuliani told Kelly that the “surprise” he’d referred to previously was “advertising” by the Trump campaign. “Because we were having a big debate about whether he should give a big speech or do a bunch of advertising. That is what I was talking about,” said Giuliani. “I had no idea that Jim Comey was going to do what he did. Not the slightest idea.”

The whole “Where’s Rudy” narrative is much ado about nothing. Rudy is most likely doing what these reporters who are wallowing in muddy gossip should be doing: his job.

Can you say fake news?
