“YUGE” Disappointment: Carson Endorses Trump
Dr. Ben Carson once made a statement about our culture that I completely agreed with. “The Roman Empire was very much like us. They lost their moral core, their sense of values in terms of who they were. And after all of those things converged together, they just went right down the tubes very quickly.”
So, naturally, now that he is out of the race he is endorsing a candidate whose moral compass points due North, correct?
Today in Palm Beach, Fl Dr. Carson officially gave his endorsement to Presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Trump’s moral compass isn’t just a little of. It spins like Jack Sparrow’s in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.”
Where do I get off saying that? Let’s hear from the man himself.
On his numerous affairs and sexual conquests:
“If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller.”
“Beautiful, famous, successful, married — I’ve had them all, secretly, the world’s biggest names…”
“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of @$$.”
Then, of course, there’s his language.
(To China on exporting to them) “Listen you m—–f——, we’re going to tax you 25 percent!”
“We build another school, we build another road they blow them up, we build again, in the meantime we can’t get a f—— school in Brooklyn.”
We’re gonna have businesses that used to be in New Hampshire, that are now in Mexico, come back to New Hampshire, and you can tell them to go f— themselves!”
But, all that can be overlooked since Trump’s faith is so strong, right?
“I’m not sure I have ever asked God’s forgiveness.”
“I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
It boggles the mind how a man like Dr. Carson, who also said “I always pray for God’s guidance in my life and he always provides it” could throw his support behind the least moral person in the race.
Maybe it’s a case of opposites attracting. Maybe it’s because they balance each other out. For every time Dr. Carson has quoted Proverbs, Trump has made a sexually-oriented comment about women. (I counted.)
Whatever the reason, the good doctor’s announcement today comes as a “yuge” disappointment to those who stood behind him because he stood behind his faith.
