Watch Rep. Louie Gohmert Dress Down Attention Whore Sit-Ins On House Floor

On Wednesday, the Democrats proved that they have absolutely no original ideas by staging a sit-in to occupy the floor of the House of Representatives until the Republicans in charge vote on some sort of gun control.  (Which is probably illegal, not that they care.)

Not all Republican representatives had the patience to simply walk away.  No, in a fit of frustration and backbone, Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas walked down to the well and thanks to smartphones being everywhere they shouldn’t be, we have video:

A better view of the altercation can be seen at The Right Scoop.

Not that this shouting match did much to solve any of the issues of Islamic terrorism, people who shouldn’t have guns slipping through the cracks of the current background check system, or regaining respect for human life in the United States, but it does demonstrate that civility in government is a mirage.  Especially when one side hasn’t quite grown up yet nor have they realized that the fad of sit-ins was over decades ago.  The occupy crowd is still after the same ideals that they were 50 years ago.  That those ideals were rejected…yes, it’s hard to take, but take it they must.

So, now that Louie has told off the overgrown hippies, or at least tried to, we can all chant: nothing says love like learning to shoot to defend your neighbor from crazy people.
