As the House Oversight Committee continues with the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s unusual, okay, illegal email server arrangement, Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and company subpoenaed several members of the staff at Platte River Networks, the company contracted to store the thing after it was no longer needed. Within a legal framework, the testimony of such individuals would be considered part of discovery, and their words under oath could be used for criminal prosecution.
So, what did these people who were contracted to deal with the Clinton server after it was decommissioned have to say about their involvement before the House Oversight Committee while on national television?
I PLEAD THE FIFTH
“On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline….” Where have we heard that before in a Congressional hearing. Even the computer tech who is believed to have some form of immunity from the FBI or the Justice Department took the fifth. The State Department staffer that is known to have some form of FBI immunity, Bryan Pagliano, didn’t even show up for the hearing.
House oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said he’ll now consider a “full range of options” to address IT aide Bryan Pagliano’s “failure” to attend.
“He should be here. … It is not optional,” Chaffetz said. “His attendance is required here.”
What does Chaffetz have to say about this? He spoke to Tucker Carlson about the whole episode:

The frustration is palpable, but Chaffetz is right, Congress has no teeth when it comes to criminal prosecution. That’s up to the Justice Department, and Obama’s justice department is not about to prosecute anyone involved with the whole Hillary email/server-gate scandal.
If the real fear is ending up on the Clinton Body Count list…there is some sympathy out on the fruited plain for that.
And so with the return of Congress comes the return of the fruitless Congressional hearing. At least We the People are seeing in real time what the people trying to get to the bottom of the truth are facing in their quest.
