Obama Operative Loretta Lynch: Justice Will Carry On Agenda After We’re Gone

Ben Shapiro is sounding an alarm on the people who are sitting back and “running out the clock” on the last 400 days of the Barack Obama Regime.  Loretta Lynch let a whole herd of cats out of Pandora’s box last week in an interview with New York Magazine.

When I asked Lynch in late December…how she could possibly manage all of her priorities in such a short time, she was characteristically measured: “These issues are not administration-specific. They themselves don’t have a deadline or a timetable,” she said. “My goal is to position the department where it will carry on in all of these issues long after myself and my team have moved on.”

Fabulous.  We knew that the Obama Administration would do lasting harm to the republic, but the list of projects they had for the Justice Department is fairly lengthy:

  • Operation Choke Point
  • Assisting in the closing of Guantanamo Bay
  • Criminalizing free speech that “incites to violence”
  • Keeping Hillary Clinton out of jail
  • Circumventing Congress to chip away at Second Amendment rights and bring the United States closer to the United Nations agenda on gun control

And that’s just the list we know about.

Both Shapiro and New York Magazine gush about Lynch being the more genteel Obama operative of her and Eric Holder.  More lady-like, if you will.  After all, rather than talk back with bombs in hearings, she just keeps obfuscating until time is done.

“We went in thinking We’re going to ask her the toughest questions we can come up with,” says Steven Edwards, a lawyer who interviewed Lynch for a local bar publication. “And we couldn’t lay a glove on her.” As New York Magazine states, Lynch simply ran out the clock on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97%’s (R-TX) questions to her during her confirmation hearings.

That does not change that Ms. Lynch is, for all intents and purposes, a political hack put in place to make sure that the Obama Administration’s agenda survives his time in office.  Shapiro put it this way:

But there’s no doubt that Lynch reflects President Obama’s agenda. Lynch has spent time opening federal cases on the Baltimore Police Department after the in-custody death of Freddie Gray and against 14 officials in international FIFA corruption as though Americans care deeply about the nature of corrupt international soccer.

Well…those of us who do follow international soccer find the corruption to be…quaint.  Not quite as sophisticated as, say, the National Football League.  But, I digress.  The Obama Administration’s agenda for the United States when it comes to law enforcement is not the same as the rest of the country’s.  And Loretta Lynch is fulfilling the task of leaving Obama’s paw prints all over the Department of Justice for as long as American governments will allow them to be there.  (Once they’re gone, it’s time to clean house.)  For example, on the recent gun control executive orders, the real target was the gun sellers and getting them to snoop on the public:

If she does bring charges against negligent gun sellers, she will likely face a massive backlash. Already, Rand Paul is promising to fight the orders “tooth and nail”; House Speaker Paul Ryan is declaring that “the country will not stand for it”; Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign is soliciting support using an image of the president looking vaguely like a member of the uniformed Waffen SS. On a conference call the night before Obama’s announcement, Lynch told reporters that the new directive would “help individuals who do want to comply” while also putting “everyone else on notice that if they don’t comply, there will be consequences.”

Yeah, and we out here in the midwest have some rain forest next to the beach.

It’s going to be a long year waiting out the clock of the Obama Administration. The Occupier of the Oval Office and his team still have a lot of work to do.
