Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) has given some insight into a bill authored by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy that is surely going to ruffle some terrorist-friendly feathers among the elites, including Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, Jeh Johnson, John Kerry, Valerie Jarrett and Huma Abedin. It’s called the Homeland Safety and Security Act, H.R. 5611.
Although Meadows is not a member of the Homeland Security Committee, he is involved in the process and does have the support of Committee Chairman McCaul. That’s what matters. After all, Sheila Jackson Lee is a member of the committee and as such demonstrates that committee membership is in no way an indicator of expertise, ability, intellect or sound judgment.
Among the significant components to the bill will be an order to the State Department to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. If the State Department refuses to do so it must explain the reasons for their refusal in writing. “Hillary needs the money” or “Because Huma” are not valid reasons.
Another requirement is going to complicate Jihadi Jeh Johnson’s “Countering Violent Extremism” CVE special favors for terrorists giveaway program. There is language which blocks individuals and organizations from participating in Homeland Security grant programs if they were named in the 2007 prosecution of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. The terrorist front organization CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator while the Holy Land Foundation and its leadership were convicted of being a front for the funding of Islamic terrorists.
Putting a stop to the federal terrorist gravy train and our officials cavorting with terrorist enablers might seem like a no-brainer to most Americans, but we’re not on the receiving end of huge donations to our foundations from terrorists. At least Huma and Hillary still get to keep their top security clearances for now. Espionage is time-consuming work, and they’ve been sort of distracted lately. There’s still so much to be done, so many secrets to be divulged.
Meadows has also introduced an innovative component to his bill that requires Homeland “Security” to cross-reference terrorist activities with those of criminals. Another interesting part of the bill creates a Terror Screening Database for use in rounding up and deportation of foreign terrorist suspects out of our country. Why isn’t that already being done, Obama can tell us – It’s because “That’s not who we are.”
The bill still is burdened with language that would unacceptably infringe on the Second Amendment, which must still be cleaned up, as it presently is an open door to gun confiscation at the whim of an Attorney General. Both the current AG and her predecessors have proven to be chilling examples of why the power to remove our constitutional gun rights cannot lie in the arbitrary, extrajudicial decision- making of one individual.
It’s a good start and once that Second Amendment section is corrected to a constitutional form, the American people may once again be able to strike back at the terrorists among us, both within the federal government and without.
