Hannity Reveals Open Secret Of Who Kelly Supports For President
Many who still occasionally tuned in to Megyn Kelly’s program on Fox would inevitably find themselves forced to retreat once again by her incessant attacks, thinly veiled as they might be, against Donald Trump. Though she claimed to be neutral, her choice of guests, the amount of time each got, the line of questioning and discussion and the amount of time given to particular topics left little doubt she was not in the Trump camp or a neutral corner. It was also much more than a hangover from the first debate disagreement.
Sean Hannity has been noticing the same thing, perhaps even more strongly than the average former or current Kelly File viewer. On Wednesday night, Hannity made it official, tweeting that she “clearly” supports Hillary Clinton.
Earlier in the day an apparently frustrated Kelly made comments on her program accusing both candidates of avoiding tough interviews. The “tough” interviews Ms. Kelly is concerned with are hers, naturally, giving herself added credibility as a “tough but fair” journalist as she threw barbs at her would-be target.
Kelly said, “They’re both in their own version of a presidential protection program.” Clinton, she said, is always sure “she is not in a place where she feels uncomfortable or anything unexpected could come at her, which is why she sat for a half an hour with Mary J. Blige, the singer, which is why she did Entertainment Tonight this evening.”
But the attacks on Clinton were merely cover for her fair and balanced defense as Clinton, aside from one interview with Chris Wallace in which some unpleasant topics were part of the discussion, doesn’t do Fox News.
She then moved on to the candidate who does do Fox News, just not her show, Mr. Trump. Kelly said, “And Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10 o’clock, will go on Hannity, and pretty much only Hannity, and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly extend the tent.”
Of course Trump also does the Fox and Friends morning program regularly. He’s being more selective about where he goes and selecting options other than Kelly, who Hannity points out is one of the regular mainstream liberals supporting Clinton.
Hannity voiced his feelings in the form of a tweet in which he stated “@megynkelly u should be mad at @HillaryClinton Clearly you support her. And @realDonaldTrump did talk to u.”
We knew it already, but it’s good to hear a little confirmation from an insider who has America’s best interests and survival at heart.
