Word is breaking from the Washington, D.C., area that Andrews Air Force Base, the home of Air Force One and the airfield from which presidents and foreign leaders take off and land, is on lockdown due to reports of an active shooter.
Joint Base Andrews has been placed on lockdown following a report of an active shooter.
A spokesperson for the base said it had been under lockdown for about 10 minutes.
There’s no word on why the lockdown was put in place.
