At his post-debate campaign rally in New Hampshire Thursday night, Donald Trump decided to have a Q&A session with the crowd. The first question asked, was completely unexpected.
A man stood up and told Trump, “We have a problem in this country called Muslims. We know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American.”
Trump smiled and said, “We need this question?” .
“But anyway,” the man continued, “we have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That’s my question: When can we get rid of them?”
The question sounded like a liberal plant, but nevertheless Trump’s response was not exactly what the PC police were looking for.
Trump simply said, “We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things, and you know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening and we’re going to be looking at that and plenty of other things.”
Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, later said that Trump did not hear the question about Obama being a Muslim.
“All he heard was a question about training camps, which he said we have to look into,” Lewandowski said. “The media want to make this an issue about Obama, but it’s about him waging a war on Christianity.”
But because Trump didn’t berate this man for his views, liberals attacked. He was instantly called a bigot and a racist. Even Hillary Clinton tweeted,
“Donald Trump not denouncing false statements about POTUS & hateful rhetoric about Muslims is disturbing, & just plain wrong. Cut it out. -H”
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz called Trump a racist saying that “GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s racism knows no bounds”.
A recent poll shows that 1/3rd of Americans don’t believe Obama when he says that he is a Christian, and it isn’t hard to understand why they feel this way. Obama was technically born a Muslim. Obama’s grandfather and father were Muslim, and according to Islamic faith the father passes his faith to the children. Also, Obama’s middle name “Hussein” is a Muslim name, and he even registered as a Muslim at his childhood school.
Obama claims he is Christian, and he very well may be. But after seeing his repeated attacks on Christianity and hearing him declare his undying love for Islam, why is it considered “crazy” to question his faith? It’s not like Obama has a history of being honest with Americans. The only person who can say with certainty that Obama is a Muslim or a Christian, is Obama. In the meantime, we are ALL entitled to our opinions and shouldn’t be dragged over the coals for expressing our beliefs. Especially when there are so many pieces of evidence to confirm our doubts.
