President Wants Our Guns? Tell Him To Give His Up First…

image                                                  It is not only our right, but duty to speak out and let Washington know of our concerns. This is one of many letters I intend to write and will publish each one.

Mr. President,

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different outcome. For you or anyone to blame the tragedy in South Carolina on a gun or skin color is utterly insane. For you to blame a gun for the cowardly act of one man is like blaming a knife for the beheading of Colleen Huffard. Just to remind you she was an American who lost her head because she was not Muslim. Countless beheadings, throughout the Middle East and not one knife is to blame. We blame the cowards who hide behind mask on the other end of the blade. That coward went into that church because he knew they were unarmed. That’s what cowards do they only fight those who can’t fight back. If he had thought they were armed he would have picked another church. Blaming a gun for murder is like blaming the auto industry for every drunk driver who kills someone. Sir, you and your family are protected by people with guns every day. Have you or your family ever been harmed by these guns.  The second amendment has allowed us to protect this country for over two hundred years. It has provided you the freedom to lead this country while protecting Americans from being controlled.

Americans come in every color and have a right under the constitution to bear arms. Every American has the right to protect their children just as you have the right to protect yours. You were elected by the people to run this country, not control it. We don’t own this country, but are all responsible for it. It is our duty to leave this world better than when we came. Our children deserve to have the same opportunity in life that we had growing up. I often ask is this country better off than the day you were elected and regret to say that it is not. I don’t blame you I blame myself for not speaking up sooner. Pointing fingers while blaming others for the past just means tomorrow we will have the same problems. I am not to blame for the murder of those beautiful people in South Carolina anymore than you and your wife are to blame for all the murder in Chicago.

Your skin color plays no part in the ignorance being taught to these kids while every word flowing from your mouth does. One man’s hate killed those people in South Carolina and God’s choice for my skin color had nothing to do with it. Martin Luther King had a dream and never mentioned the exclusion of color. He also hoped future generations would be judged by character, not the color of their skin. Dr. King will be talked about by future generations while you and many of your friends will never be mentioned. It’s because he loved everyone and stood up for others with no concern for his own blind ambitions. I pray for you in the hope you start making decisions that are in the best interest of this country and not the interest of your so called friends. I recently wrote your wife a letter and you can view it by clicking this link. If you ever need to find me I am now a writer for the DC Gazette. You can also find me on Twitter @mshep08_mike… God bless you and may He forever bless America, Shep
