A Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream! A dream that we would all live in the promise land. He never mentioned color, but did talk about character. The man was brilliant, and is one of the most notable men of all time. He is not famous because of race or religious belief. The man is celebrated because of his love for others. He spent his lifetime trying to unite us, while his friends try to divide us. People claiming to love him, while doing exactly the opposite of what he would have done. Mr. King preached non violence, and peaceful protest. I don’t see that being encouraged by a so-called reverend.
Dr. King led from the front, while I see hypocrites standing behind people. Hypocrites encouraging violence while the man they loved preached peace. I see people insulting the Dr. Kings memory, while using him for their own fame. There is good and bad in every race and these men only focus on the bad. I wish these men would ask themselves. If Dr. King were here today, would he be proud? Dr. King had a dream and so did I… I dream they stop insulting his memory, and start carrying on with his work. In the 60s all televisions were black and white, and now we have color. I have a dream that this nightmare just might return to a dream… At least a part of his dream has come true. Most of us are judged by our character, not the color of our skin. A few of these leaders should consider lessons from that! God Bless You All… Semper Fi, Shep
