Here we go again. Another justified shooting of a black man, and another case of media distortion of the facts. Four white police officers are now under attack for the shooting of 28 year old Jeremy McDole. The shooting was recorded by a cell phone and can be seen below. The officers involved can clearly be heard ordering McDole to “put his hands up” and “drop the gun”. Once again the “victim” in this case was refusing to comply with police orders.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon in Wilmington Delaware after officers responded to a 911 call claiming that a man had shot himself. Chief Bobby Cummings of the Wilmington Police Department said at a briefing, that McDole was still armed with a .38 caliber handgun, which was also found at the scene next to the body. Cummings said he didn’t know whether McDole was depressed or suicidal, or why he might have shot himself.
McDole’s mother, Phyllis McDole of course claims that her son did not have a weapon. Chief Cummings said officers told Mr. McDole to put the weapon down, and as he was removing the gun from his waist, officers engaged him. It seems the Black Lives Matter hate group wanted the officers to wait to be shot before taking action.
McDole was paralyzed 10 years ago when he was shot in a gang related incident while walking around smoking marijuana, according to court documents. He has convictions dating back until 2005 including drug possession, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and resisting arrest. In November, McDole was found to have violated his probation.
The shooting is being investigated by the police department’s criminal investigation and professional standards units, as well as the Delaware Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights and Public Trust, but that isn’t good enough for the NAACP. Richard Smith, head of the Delaware chapter of the NAACP, said he did not trust the state Justice Department to conduct a fair and impartial investigation, and is demanding a special prosecutor.
Wilmington Delaware is known as as “murder town USA“, and ranked number one on a list of America’s most dangerous cities for having the highest rate of violent crimes per 100,000 people. Wilmington has also been run by Democrats for the last four decades.
