Mark Levin covers some of the key elements in what he aptly describes as a “Republican Amnesty†bill. He points out the desperate need for the Republican Party to bring in new leadership, that unless they do the country as well as the party will continue to unravel.
He says there is no doubt that the Republican Party is led by neo-statists. They are the ones who need to be removed. They are people who claim the mantle of conservatism but are working to exchange “the high ground of the founding principles for the quicksand of a soft tyranny.â€
Levin points out the folly of the argument of “compassionate conservatism,†which is a hybrid approach to combine socialism with freedom. He points out that government undermines the private sector, the individual.
He names names, including Karl Rove, Jeb Bush, George Bush, Chris Christie, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the non-conservatives who pretend to be conservatives and offers them a quote from his book, “Liberty and Tyranny, a Conservative Manifesto.â€
We are at genuine risk, as history verifies, from a false choice between hard tyranny and a softer version being offered as our only options. We can still choose liberty. We can add a third response to the equation, “none of the above,†and we can act accordingly. If we don’t, we are in serious risk of handing our republic and our children back to the same tyranny from which it arose.
