Chuck Todd’s still carrying Obama’s water; he’s just spilling a little along the way to make it less obvious. He said in this appearance that Obama’s “poll perfect†foreign policy is “seen as less popular, it’s seen as less stable because it looks as if he’s not leading, events are leading him. And I think that’s what the country is reacting personally to him. That this is like, where’s the leadership, what’s going on here, you don’t have your arms around this.â€
He says, “I’ve been trying to figure out this man’s doctrine now for six years. He doesn’t have one. He ran basically with a wink and a nod that this was going to be a George H.W. Bush foreign policy, stability and diplomacy first. And yet he has been pulled in different directions. His instinct actually is very George W. Bush-like, which is democracy, freedom, no winners and losers.”
“So look at the way he had intervened early in the Arab Spring and then he realized ‘boy that was a mistake.’ So then, it’s almost like he pushes and pulls between the ideas of democracy first versus stability first. And he goes back and forth and messed around with democracy in Egypt, didn’t work, in Libya, didn’t work. He admits it now. And now he’s trying for stability first. And I think in this case, he’s struggling.â€
Todd is being more than just a bit generous when he describes what was present in Egypt under Morsi as a democracy. There were elections or what appeared to be elections, but the U.S. was instrumental in the uprising as well as determining the outcome and what formed was becoming increasingly a totalitarian theocracy.
Libya was nothing more than an overthrow of Gaddafi, based upon reasons that were not the national interest of the United States. There was no justification for it, Libya was stable and flourishing. Democracy is a nice label to put on what Obama did, but it is also an inaccurate one.
Obama is now allowing and facilitating the formation of a terrorist state in Iraq. That doesn’t fit with Todd’s proclamation of a stability first approach either.
Todd is incorrect to say that Obama doesn’t have a doctrine, he does. It’s just not one he can admit on national television. It’s an Islamist caliphate first doctrine, implemented through his Muslim Brotherhood operatives within the United States government and we are seeing the results. It was no accident that ISIS convoyed across Iraq without being attacked by American forces. Obama knew what was going on and he allowed it to happen.
None of these hand-picked “expert commentators†would have the strength to speak of the true Obama agenda or doctrine on national television and most actually support the anti-American actions of this “president.†If Rich Lowery dared to voice a similar viewpoint, he’d be dismissed as a rightwing radical and have made his last appearance.
Even as they pretend to be calling out the failures of Obama, they are doing so in a manner which shifts the focus and softens the blows. The black congresswoman and member of the Congressional Black Caucus probably wouldn’t say a harsh word against “her black president†if her life depended upon it. Her job and her reason for being on the show is to state the regime position, which she does precisely. As a socialist Democrat, she’s got Hussein’s back, plus, he has just the right color of Teflon skin. He can do no wrong and she’s also there to encourage her fellow black Americans to look no deeper into his actions than his race.
What is going on in the Middle East is the U.S. assisting in the decimation of governments in order to pave the way for a terrorist nation. It could not have happened without Obama’s support and his active assistance.
What we are witnessing are successful attempts to install a caliphate by the forces which have usurped control of the government of the United States. They can stop blaming attempts at “democracy,†it’s them.
