If you’ve never heard of Brad and Dallas Woodhouse, you can be forgiven. Â According to USA Today:
Dallas is a conservative and the founder of a non-profit political group called Carolina Rising, and Brad, a liberal, is now the president of Americans United for Change and former spokesman for the Democratic National Committee.
So, the brothers are really only known to hard-core political junkies who watch C-Span even when Trey Gowdy, Darrell Issa and Jim Jordan aren’t grilling Obama groupies.  They wrote a book called Woodhouse Divided about families divided by politics and appeared on C-Span to promote the book, when a call came from a woman named Joy in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dallas: Hey, somebody from down south!
Joy: Well, you’re right I’m from down south.
Dallas: Oh, God, it’s Mom.
And from there, Mrs. Woodhouse took her boys to the wood house. Â Listen in to an American southern mom do what all moms do best.
Well, Mrs. Woodhouse, there are families that fight at Thanksgiving, and there are plenty of us here in the United States in families where politics has been banned from the dinner table. Â It’s a by-product of the politicization of absolutely everything. Â While we all can disagree we have to be able to articulate our positions and there is no one better to practice on than our siblings who will love us in the end no matter how wackadoodle their reasoning is for supporting one side or another.
Life in America. Â Gotta love it. Â And guys, do your mom a favor. Â Knock it off for just one day. Â Peace at Christmas is a good thing.
