Around 1 a.m. last Sunday evening, shots were fired and five people were injured at Club Khaos in El Paso, Texas.

A man, who has been identified as Martin Guerrero, opened fire after being escorted out of the club for causing a disturbance. Five people were injured, only one with serious injuries. The 21-year-old man was shot in the chest, though officials say he is now in stable condition.

Guerrero was stopped by a shot in the leg. The other shooter has not been identified, and investigators believe he or she is afraid to come forward due to Texas’ concealed carry laws. Though officials say they are thankful this person was carrying at the time, or they believe the situation could have been far worse and resulted in quite a few fatalities.

Guerrero was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries, and will be charged upon his release.
