Legendary Navajo Code Talker Says Name Not Racist…

NOTE: Since this story was originally written, all of the Navajo Code Talkers have passed away. In their honor, the “Redskins” name should be defended. It’s a name of honor — not fake “racism,” as the left claims.

Have you heard about the controversy regarding the “Redskins” NFL football team? The general idea is that “redskins” is an offensive, racist word, so the football team is racist and offensive, so they should apologize and change their name.

Of course, that’s absurd. It’s not offensive at all. If anything, the team is showing respect to native Americans by actually naming themselves after them. Many of the first members of the team were native American, for example. “Redskins isn’t offensive”. It’s a sign of respect. It’s about as opposite of racist as you can get.
