Melania Trump reintroduced herself to America Monday night when she addressed the Republican National Convention. She describes her relationship with her husband and family and provides some personal information as well, affirming her love for the United States as well as her husband.
She describes her childhood, being born in Slovenia, which was at the time a communist country. She speaks in glowing terms of her parents and the values that they instilled in her. She stresses the importance of having dreams and being willing to work to achieve them.
She describes her career as a fashion model in Milan and New York, where she came twenty years ago. Melania became a United States citizen in July of 2006, which she describes as the greatest privilege on planet Earth.
Having seen the rest of the world, including the communism that those of the left would have us forsake our liberty in the pursuit of, Melania says, “I cannot or will not take the freedoms this country offers for granted. But these freedoms have come with a price so many times. She recognized Senator Bob Dole, who was in the audience, as well as all Veterans who have served this nation.
She says, “I can tell you with certainty that my husband has been concerned about our country for as long as I have known him. With all of my heart I know that he will make a great and lasting difference. Donald has a great and deep and unbending determination and a never give up attitude. I have seen him fight for years to get a project done or even started and he does not give up. If you want someone to fight for you and your country, I can assure you, he’s the guy.”
She added, “He will never ever give up and most importantly, he will never, ever let you down.”
She continues to highlight the reasons why her “big thinking” husband is the right man for this country at this critical time.
