In Custody-6 Deportations & 3 Murders Later
29 year old Bonifacio Oseguera-Gonzalez is in police custody. Why? Oh, just a little triple murder, that’s all.
Four people were shot at a blueberry farm in Oregon. Three died as a result of their injuries. Katie Gildersleeve, 30, Edmundo Amaro-Bajonero, 26, and Ruben Rigoberto-Reyes, 60, all fell victim to Oseguera-Gonzalez.
He was taken into custody by the Oregon State Police a few hours after the incident. They apprehended him on Interstate 84 in the Columbia River Gorge. He admitted to shooting all four people in a statement to authorities.
Was this violent rampage his first encounter with law enforcement? Nope. Not even close.
Oseguera-Gonzalez had been deported six times prior to this horrific crime. Yep. 6 deportations. The Mexican national was most recently sent back to his home country by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2013.
The official charges he now faces are “three counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted murder.” Bonifacio has plead not guilty to all of them.
Deborah Burdzik, his lawyer, did not respond to requests for comment.
Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, spoke regarding the situation on Friday. Trump stated that Oseguera-Gonzalez “should have never been here.”
Whatever the possible connection is between the assailant and the victims, it has not been released. No motive has been given, either.
In fact, little information is being released by officials. I can’t imagine why. It’s not as though the ball was completely dropped or anything. I mean, seriously, the whole “keeping violent criminals out” thing would take an entire agency. Oh, wait.
