Clinging To The Anti-Gun Narrative, Valerie Jarrett Calls For Drastic Action

The post-Orlando gun control fest has officially become a farce.  Now that no less than four gun control bills have died in Congress, Barack Obama’s go-to girl, Valerie Jarrett, has taken to the airwaves in a gun control conference call to pick up the baton and attempt to guilt the American people into ignoring our rights as outlined by the Founders.  See, she seems to think that the National Rifle Association (NRA) is a propaganda machine, and that they don’t speak for a large portion of Americans who have actually READ the Bill of Rights, and believe in the ideals outlined there.

“When those voices are heard, there is no stronger sound than the voices of the American people,” Jarrett stated….

“What we see on the other side is a powerful, well-funded special interest group, the NRA,” she continued. “And the NRA has one issue that they care about, and the NRA has never been willing over the course of the last seven or so years to come to the table and work with us to try to keep guns out of the hands of those who would be a threat to themselves or to others.”

Finally, Jarrett called on the American to people to call for common sense gun reform.

“What we need to have is a voice just as strong, just as effective, just as powerful to drown out that of the NRA.”

Don’t believe she actually said that?  Take a listen at the DC Caller Website.  This woman actually claims that the side of gun-control is the voice of the American people, and that what they need is a voice to “drown out that of the NRA.”

Given the mentality of the Fourth Estate in the United States – the mainstream news media – there is an equally powerful voice, more powerful than the NRA, actually, that has been shilling for gun control for years.  MSM sorts are not pro-Second Amendment.  At all.  And they have no problem saying so.  The American people see this.  Any time there is one of these mass shooting incidents, not one of which was perpetrated by an NRA member, there is a Pavlovian response from every talking head and quite a number members of Congress.  Terms like “military style assault weapons” that have no meaning for people who actually shoot, they assure those of us who don’t, are trotted out to scare the bejesus out of the masses.

How do the law-abiding masses respond?  By going out and legally purchasing firearms.  (Statistics on the black market are not available at this time.)  It’s happened after every single mass shooting in places that are considered to be soft targets: no-gun zones.  And this is the NRA’s fault?

At this point, with six months left in Barack Obama’s reign, achieving any sort of measurable gun control just has not happened despite all the mass shootings and terrorist attacks.  What’s actually driving the reality of all of it can be any number of things from societal pressures, to psychotropic drugs, to unaddressed mental illnesses – in one way it doesn’t matter.  The bottom line is that the gun control crowd is getting desperate.  Valerie Jarrett doing the messaging and trotting out the tired canards proves it.
