Artist’s Wall Around Trump’s Hollywood Star Just Proves Trump Right
Be careful what you wish for. One street artist’s attempt to call attention to Donald Trump‘s policies using Trump’s Walk of Fame star has done just that. It just wasn’t the way intended, though.
Meaning to poke fun at Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump, a street artist erected a 6″ concrete wall around Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The wall is emblazoned with signs that read “Keep Out.” It is topped with razor wire.
Sight-seers in LA took tons of pictures and posted them to social media. Most expressed amusement at the addition.
Rumor has it that an artist known as “Plastic Jesus” is responsible for the wall around the star. If that is the case, Trump should thank him. The tiny wall proves Trump’s point in a big way.
Before the wall was erected, anyone could walk all over the star. Before the wall was erected, the star was just as defenseless as all the ones around it. Before the wall was erected, there was nothing to distinguish the star from others besides a name. Before the wall was erected, any piece of trash blowing around could tarnish the star. All that is over.
Now, it takes much greater effort to access it. It can not be done haphazardly. Now, it is protected from the massive amounts of traffic that the others are subjected to. Now, it stands out from all the others as something special. Now, it is protected from the discarded refuse that could otherwise have sullied it.
If there was any better example of just how right Trump is about how much good a wall could do for our borders, I don’t know what it would be.
Though it was, likely, not the intent of “Plastic Jesus” to campaign for Trump, he has done just that. A note to the supposed creator of the mini wall: if you choose to use Jesus’ name you might also want to use his manner of thinking before he acted.
