Thugs are once again raging in Ferguson, looking for new places to loot and new people to blame for their failures in life. 26-year-old Becca Campbell saw the unrest and went out to buy a gun. Her 33-year-old boyfriend said that they were worried about the Ferguson riots and wanted to protect themselves.
The two were riding together in a car when the gun went off. He said that Becca was waving the gun around in a joking manner while exclaiming “we’re ready for Ferguson.”
Still acting playfully, she pointed the gun in his direction. The boyfriend was startled by this action and swerved the car while trying to duck away. He accidentally rear-ended another car in the process, causing the gun to off and strike Campbell in the head. She was rushed to the hospital where she died. An investigation by local authorities into what exactly happened is still underway. St. Louis police officers have not yet confirmed all the details in Becca Campbell’s boyfriend’s story and are waiting for the return of lab results related to the firearm.
A reporter for the Post-Dispatch, Paul Hampel, actually took a photo of Campbell protesting in Ferguson back in August. The photo shows her arguing with a police officer.
